Navigating your student successes to enter college may be one of the toughest parts of parenting. In my experiences as a Life Coach partnering with high school students to create their best profile and have a competitive edge, I have found that in the last five years, the process of the college application, and the requirements to enter college have become much more competitive and much more rigorous. Though I coach in many areas, I have found that combining my 39 years of educational experiences to include classroom teaching, counseling, and Academy Coordinating to advise students have become the best tools in my partnership with students to enter the University of California schools, the State schools and the many prestigious universities across the United States to include Stanford, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, MIT, and of course, the Ivy League colleges on the East Coast.
I am excited to announce that I have joined with Joe Iacovozzi, a Certified Personal Financial Coach and the host, Jon Garcia of Serendipity Labs in Dublin, to provide the important tools needed to guide your student to mapping out their college journey. Our first workshop will be on May 9 at 6:30 PM at Serendipity Labs in Dublin. Below is the agenda we will cover to provide valuable information to empower you in this journey. In our seminar we will cover basic topics to be aware of:
What colleges are looking for?
The different expectations of the California college system versus private and out of state schools
Why are extracurriculars important?
Why do colleges care about the application essays?
Are you ready for the financial journey?
What options do you have to maintain your lifestyle while putting your children through school?
