Montair Has Heart

Remember the incredible heart sculptures all over downtown Danville last summer? Montair Elementary School is excited to bring one more amazing heart to our community at their 25th annual auction next month. The artwork on the heart is inspired by Montair’s breathtaking views of Mount Diablo in springtime. Succulents and other foliage in custom planter boxes and pots will encircle the heart to create a truly unique “living” sculpture. Montair kindergarteners and transitional-kindergarteners, whose families sponsored the project, are helping to plant this garden that will grow right along with them. The artist is also a Montair dad, and so we know you will love this piece of art that is designed with creativity, skill, and love.

Right now, the heart is still a work in progress, but the finished sculpture will be on display the week of the auction at Beyond Active in downtown Danville on Prospect.
Come by to check it out in person, and then place your bid online to win Montair’s heart. All funds raised at the auction go towards Montair’s librarian, reading and math intervention programs, paraeducators, art programs, teachers on special assignment and leadership program coordinators. As you can see, your bid will help give Montair students a solid, well-rounded education.

The Montair heart isn’t the only heart-felt item to look out for at Montair Foundation’s online auction spanning March 18th through March 26th, 2021. You will find Little Words Project bracelets with messages of kindness, amazing fitness experiences to keep your heart healthy, and countless packages with gift certificates to the local businesses you love. Visit https://montairfoundation.schoolauction.net/auction2021 to win amazing items and, most importantly, to support programs and staffing that benefit Montair’s students. The Montair Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and so all donations you make are tax exempt as provided by law.
